My Favorite Things...
I love vignettes. Sure, setting-up furniture so it looks just right is nice, but "setting" the "scene" is the fun part. Champagne or wine glasses, some mugs and cereal bowls on a tea-tray, or some slippers near the bed...all of these items let a potential buyer visualize what they can do in the space. The soaking bath is a great spot for some spa-items. A book on the table next to a chair seated in the bedroom nook. In the office, a few magazines, a book-opened on the desk, and maybe a pad of paper and pen. The kitchen offers an array of ideas- cutting boards with some artificial veggies and fruits, a table-setting with apples, oranges, etc...Yes, putting it all together is fun, but the vignettes are my favorite!
