Next Stage- Redmond Home

Terry recently picked-up this listing in Redmond, Washington. We will again be remodeling the master bathroom and I will assist in designing the layout and choosing everything from accessories to tile, granite and belly-band design. I'm in the process of choosing neutral paints to cover the current colors in the home. After my recent walk-through I have created a "staging profile" for the client and have made many suggestions as to getting their home ready to sell. After the homeowners have cleaned and cleared-out several things I will go in with my accessories and some of my furniture to help market the best assets of this home. We're hoping to list this home in mid-May. Here are the "BEFORE" photos...

Lakemont Community, Issaquah, Washington

This spacious home has a fully remodeled master bathroom. It was so much fun choosing tile to compliment the granite (the client had chosen). I also chose the accents and helped design the belly-band in the tile. We couldn't be happier with the final outcome of this bathroom. After choosing neutral colors for paint throughout the house, I was especially excited about staging the master bedroom. I decided to use punches of orange around the house and felt that it accented each room nicely, especially in this master-oasis. The sage green brought warmth and a sense of the outdoors-inside.

Here is a view from the entrance. The nook is a great spot to cozy-up with a book and a cup of coffee.

The kitchen is where I really had the opportunity to use the orange accents because of my inventory. I first decided on orange when I found the orange sunflower...this was my inspiration.

The wall above the fireplace was paintd a soft "oat-wheat" color and the orange accent picture really helps to bring the focus to the fireplace which is a highly sought-after addition to any home.

The formal entry was painted a soft "yellow-downy" color. Just enough to brighten the space and allow the white woodwork and wainscoat to "pop." Using dark espresso furniture really helps expose some of the homes best features in the designer woodwork and paint.

My Favorite Staging photos and Ideas from the Web

I always love to look in Home Magazine for my favorite ideas! I started exploring some pages online and came across some photos that I really liked. I decided to share these photos in a slideshow to give you an idea of my personal taste. I think every stager knows that preparing a home to put on the market means neutralizing, however everyone has their own "taste" and I like to always add a dab of color using accents. Right now the "on-trend" colors are aqua blue with shades of green and greens and blues with reds and oranges.
